Dorset
The county of Dorsetshire is in the south-west of England, to the west is Devon, to the North Somerset and Wiltshire, and to the east Hampshire
Dorchester is the county town, with the massive hill fort of Maiden Castle to the south. Within Dorchester is the remains of an Amphitheatre which has undergone various changes in use. There is a pleasant trail by the river, and plenty of shops to keep folks happy!
Lyme Regis, is on the Jurassic coast with its famous Cobb, featured in the French Lieutenants Woman movie based on the novel written in the town. Monmouth beach to the west is where the Monmouth rebellion forces landed.
