This story looks at what happens when the earth flips to global cooling, because governments got it wrong, big time!

A tale of adventure set in a very cold Britain. We follow the narrator as he joins with others in their battle south. The harsh climate is the least of their worries. Bands of gruesome brigands are hunting them down. With a makeshift boat, part of the group splits, while they head for the French coast, the others hunker down for the winter. While they rest and the group in France make south for Spain, the brigands are back. Now it is the migrants turn to hunt the hunters. Greatly outnumbered the brigand leader is smart, and out manoeuvres the migrants, slaughtering thousands. The chase begins, and ends with a climatic showdown at Pendennis Castle. That is only the beginning, Spain one of the last refuges for the people of Europe is facing devastation. A German radio ham, a beautiful catamaran, some historical ship building, and the great Danes save the day.

Taught

"Those who cannot comprehend language, can not comprehend the weakness of their ignorance." David L Nightingale 2012

We are not taught the Law at school, or that is most of us aren't I don't remember ever going to a class! Now we are told ignorance of the law is no defence. Logically to obey a law we must know that law. Logically to enforce a law we must know that law. Logically to defend or prosecute a law we must know that law. So to understand the law, we must be fluent in the law, that is we must know most if not all of it. Why do we need lawyers? Because they understand the law and we do not, because they are educated in the law and we are not? That should immediately tell us that we can not UNDERSTAND the law if we are not taught it and thus we can not stand under the law. Thus laws that are not understandable by ordinary people are unenforceable because, how can they be expected to obey something they don't understand? A legal system that is so complex that only legal professionals can comprehend it, does that not beg a few questions?

Some might say we live in a complex world and thus need complex laws. But what good are complex laws if they can not be understood? We go more and more down the road of turning adults into dependant automata. They will only do what they are instructed to do, they will only do what they are trained to do, they will only do what they are licensed to do, they will only obey authority. People don't want to get involved, they fear things going wrong, it is all too complicated, they would rather continue shopping, it is not their problem.

It is easier to apply simple laws to a complex problem than, complex laws to a simple problem. That which appears complex is often beautifully simple when we examine the parts. I have been visiting libraries, trying to find law books in the reference section. If we are not to be ignorant of the law surely they must be available in all libraries? Nop, don't think so.
